Qualified Presenter Terms and Conditions

I was thinking of all of the Ts & Cs required for this kind of thing and I am hoping to alleviate all of that by taking this approach because I really don’t want to make you read the 28-page version the lawyers want me to put here, so in an effort to alleviate legal anxiety for both of us…


By you signing up as a GovBrief presenter, we are both agreeing you are signing up because we want to work together to enhance our respective brands, grow our collective businesses and increase our combined sales. We agree that this is a reasonable goal, and that reasonable people are needed to achieve this reasonable common goal. 

Reasonable People Only.

If you are not a reasonable person, please do not continue to sign up as a presenter. What does reasonable mean? We work together to protect each other’s business interests and make each other better. The playing field is big enough for all reasonable people to win, grow and prosper. A rising tide raises all ships, as they say, and we believe that by working together we contribute to the rising tide of our respective ships.

No Poach Zone. 

We expect reasonable people to have overlapping service and product offerings and even compete for some of the same customers.  We don’t poach, we protect. We do not torpedo other GovBrief presenter’s ships. Instead, we provide each other referrals for services in their respective lanes and we look for how we can help each other augment the offering and grow.

When Something Goes Wrong…

We, even as reasonable people, are humans and we expect mistakes will happen. We expect reasonable people to understand the importance of assuming responsibility and work to correct those mistakes. We expect other reasonable people, who are GovBrief presenters, to help other presenters correct mistakes when they can. This doesn’t make you responsible for other’s mistakes, it just means you will try and help another presenter if you can.

Reasonable People Will Disagree…

Many presenters are highly skilled, vocal, alpha types so we can expect discourse in diversity of thought. With diversity comes potential conflict so we agree to work at preventing conflicts, and when they do happen, presenters agree to resolve conflicts through this process:

  1. Discuss the issue with each other, attempt to resolve the conflict. Listen to each other, do your best to resolve the issue. If that doesn’t work…
  2. Bring another presenter to help with the discussion of the issue and attempt to resolve the conflict. If that doesn’t work…
  3. Bring the issue to the GovBrief presenter liaison to attempt to resolve the conflict. If that doesn’t work…
  4. The GovBrief liaison will bring the issue is to GovBrief presenter board to make recommendations on the outcome. All decisions of the board are final. 

Ownership of materials

  • If you created it, and you present it, you own it. If a GovBrief presenter joins you, you work out the compensation with that presenter.
  • If you work with GovBrief to create it, and you present it under the GovBrief brand, you and GovBrief own it. Licensing and compensation will follow your GovBrief presenter agreement.
  • If GovBrief created it, GovBrief owns it. If you join as a presenter, we will work out the compensation before the session.

Your GovBrief presenter agreement will include specifics of how materials can be used on GovBrief, how compensation to you and GovBrief works, and when you can expect to get paid. If you are invited as a panelist on GovBrief created materials, the materials are owned by GovBrief and you may be licensed to use limited portions for your own promotion. Reasonable people know that money transparency is important and when money is flowing, everyone wins.

GovBrief is a professional platform: Quality Matters.

We expect you to be professional and provide value on the GovBrief platform by providing value to our customers (yours and GovBrief’s because they are the same). Since GovBrief is a visual platform, and with thousands of hours of interactive online experience, GovBrief’s leadership and elite presentation presenters know and can help you understand the best practices for presenting, process flow, audience engagement creative and host support will help any presenter improve their live presentations. As a GovBrief presenter, please take advantage of use these tools - and more importantly each other - to up your presentation game because quality presentations benefit every presenter on the GovBrief platform.

SME’s Only.

The key to success on GovBrief is being a subject matter expert. By definition this means you don’t know everything. Instead, you know a lot about and continue to increase your knowledge in a specific lane. SMEs continually improve their knowledge and understanding of their lane which results in bringing more value to the GovBrief customer base. This is beneficial to you and the other SMEs who have complementary expertise on the GovBrief platform.

Do you fit as a GovBrief Presenter?

  • If you are unreasonable, this isn’t the place for you. 
  • If you have problems sticking to your lane, this isn’t the place for you. 
  • If you have issues with ethics, truthfulness, fraud or otherwise corrupt in some way, this definitely isn’t the place for you.

IMPORTANT: If at a later date you should you reveal yourself to be unreasonable, have issues with ethics, truthfulness, fraud or otherwise corrupt in some way, your presenter membership will be terminated and you will be shown the exit. 

To be specific:

  1. You will no longer be able to participate on GovBrief in any capacity. 
  2. Any On-Demand products or co-owned materials will be removed.
  3. Any GovBrief owned materials with your participation will be labeled with “*(your name/organization) is not affiliated with GovBrief. Participation in this session by Mr./Ms. (your name) does not reflect the views or positions of GovBrief, its presenters or affiliates.”
